Vinatieri on the Next Cover of Madden

Adam Vinatieri stats

You heard it here first. This is my top 10 reasons why Adam Vinatieri should be on the next cover of John Madden Football.

  1. He’s the MVP of the League. At least he should be. Just ask Peyton Manning. I don’t think we’ll be hearing about an “Idiot kicker” or “Problems with the protection” during these playoffs.
  2. An End to the Curse. The chances of a kicker getting injured are far slimmer than many other positions. With the Colts prolific offense, he should have plenty of chances next season to perform just as stellar as this season.
  3. He’s a kicker. Part I: It’s never been done before.
  4. He’s a kicker. Part II: Even though EA no longer has any competition for its NFL title, the buzz for Madden isn’t what it was a couple years back. This would be a great opportunity to rejuvenate Madden debates across the country.
  5. Super Bowls: XXXVI, XXXVIII, XXXIX
  6. Fantasy Football: Many Fantasy Football GMs will have a tough decision if EA decides to put LaDainian Tomlinson, Peyton Manning, or Chad Johnson on the cover of Madden.
  7. Every point counts.
  8. Madden Changes. One of the major changes made to the game was the kicking element. As the defense AI continues to improve, field position and field goals become more of a premium. “If it’s in the game, it’s in the game.” – EA Sports
  9. Dallas, Cincinnati, San Diego.
  10. They can use my cover. ;)

A fan of the game
